Beach Area is open for swimming. No Lifeguards will be present. You swim at your own risk.
5:00 pm-7:00 pm: Packet pick-up at race site

Sunday, June 29, 2008
6:00 am-7:00 am: Packet pick-up
7:15 am: Pre-race meeting at swim start/beach area
7:30 am: Race start
*Waves will be announced race morning
8:45 am: Swim Course Closed

12:30 pm: Bike Course Closed
2:00 pm: Awards presentation (Depending on racers still on course)
3:30 pm: Race Course Closed

*Awards : 1st Overall Male and Female, 1st,2nd,3rd in each age group, Athena, Clydesdale and Team. Awards will not be mailed. You must be present at the event to receive your award. Prior event awards will not be available at later events.

Race Start:
Pre-race meeting at 7:15 am at swim start. Instructions and updates will be announced.

It is the responsibility of the athlete to know and follow the proper course.

This event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon. All USAT rules apply. For a complete listing of rules, go to USAT's Rule Book.

Body marking is located at the pavilion.

The transition area is for race participants only - no spectators allowed.

Race Morning
Plan to arrive around 6:00 A.M. This will allow you plenty of time to get everything set up. There will be a pre-race meeting at 7:15 A.M. Final instructions will be given at this time.

Clydesdale/Athena Information
Participants who registered as Clydesdales or Athenas will be asked to weigh in on race day. Entrants in this division are not eligible for age group awards. Note: you are not required to enter as a Clydesdale or Athena just because you meet the weight requirements. Separate awards will be given for Clydesdale and Athena (200 lbs. for men; 150 lbs. for women)

Parking
Parking is in a designated area before you enter the race site. There is no parking in any other area or along the road. Do NOT park at the Marina.

Camping
The Lake Sara Camp Ground is offering one night free camp sites to tent campers! This does not include any RV’s, etc. Tents only.

Misc. Information
Relay team members may begin the next leg after they have been passed the race number and chip by preceding team mate. Relays should hand off at the entrance or exit of transition area. Relays will begin in the last swim wave.

Lost and found will be located in the pavilion.

Porta potties are located next to the transition area.

If you need to shower after the race before your drive home, you may do so free of charge at the camp ground. They have a very nice shower facility!

Refund Policy
We will be unable to refund your entry fee after you have registered for the race. In the event you will not be able to participate, please contact us about a race transfer.

About This Event
This is a one loop 13.1 Mile course around Lake Sara. Water stops will be every Mile with Gatorade, Hammer Gel, water, etc. provided. Fast course!

FAQ:

Champion Chip
Every participant's net time will be recorded with the aid of a computer chip that is attached to the runners ankle with a velco strap. These will be included in your registration packet. You must wear the chip to be timed and scored. The chips will be retrieved in the chutes just past the finish line. If you do not start the race or drop out, we ask you to return the chips to the timing table located at the finish line.
